Ok, votes are in and the majority voted for option 2.  The final count was 17 for option #1 and 29 for option #2, so that is how we will be conducting our raffle on Saturday night!

Option 2:

This is a little different approach and has been used successfully at several big events recently. If we go with this option, we would have one bucket each for the deluxe prizes (six buckets) and then one additional general bucket representing all the other raffle items. So we would have a total of seven buckets. When you purchase your raffle tickets you get to choose how you would like to "spend" them. So for example if you already have a winch you might choose to split your tickets up and not put any in the buckets for either winch but put some in each of the other deluxe prize buckets and some in the general raffle bucket. Or if you really want one item more than anything else you might choose to put all your tickets in one bucket and none in the others. This option would allow folks to only "enter" the drawings they were interested in and give you a better chance of winning something you could actually use.
