Now it is not commonly known that I grew up about 12 miles from the SMORR Ranch thus I do have some knowledge of the area. Folks we will be in the woods and we will be in the country. The Missouri State Ag. Dept has deemed it Illegal to remove Ticks from that part of the state and transport them accross state lines without getting healt papers on the ticks being transported. So it will be necessary to remove and replace all captured ticks back into their natural habitat before departing the property. If you or a member of your party have not been trained and certified in tick inspection and removal please contact Brandon at the Gate House to see that this procedure is preformed properly and safely and in compliance with all State and local laws...... Beware of uncertified individuals coming into you camp site and offering to search you for ticks. Be sure and ask to see their crudentials...:D

That's funny right there!
On a more serious note it's those pesky chiggers that get me, so bewhere! When you jump out of your rig and are standing around in the grass/weeds talking about that last obstacle on the trail that's when they get you! Oh, but you won't know it until you get back to camp and start to sleep and your ankles start to ich!
I usually try to bring some bug spray and spray my shoes, ankles and pants legs (if wearing long pants) before I hit the trails for the day.
If you're not familiar with this little varmit here is a link to some more information http://pediatrics.about.com/od/dermatologytopics/a/06_chiggers.htm
